In a steam shower setting, this mirror is stressed. Even with hot water in the reservoir, the mirror fogs up i.e., tiny water droplets coat the mirror. I have found that using the product ”Spit Antifog” made by Jaws, works. All one needs, is to apply an even light coating of this diver mask solution to the mirror. It does the trick. I have been doing this for a few years without a detrimental effect to the mirror. I imagine that other anti fog solutions will work too. I found that a drop of dishwasher soap & diluted with some water, like Joy Dishwasher Soap is effective. From the instructions I read with the product, it said only water was to be used and to not use harsh chemicals or abrasives. I find that simple water is not effective in my steam shower with hot water in the reservoir.
One other thing I have found, is that hot steam, about 106 degrees, and the splashing of cold tap water on the mirror leads to stress cracking at the mirror’s corners. That is not surprising as the plastic mirror cannot handle this rapid change in temperature.
Other than these comments, I enjoy using this product. It works well and is convenient. I wonder what the management team thinks of these working considerations and whether if they should expand on what can be used on the mirror without damaging it.
